In an effort to alleviate some of our many make up days this brutal winter has caused, the Bellevue City Schools board of education has approved an adjustment to our school calendar.  We have canceled our professional development day on Monday Feb. 3 and it will now be a regular school day for our students.  Students should report to school on Feb. 3.  The board also approved a new opportunity from the Ohio Department of Education to make up three of our calamity days by doing work online.  More information will be coming from your child’s building principal on the online make up opportunity.    If access to online lessons is an issue due to technology, your child can get copies of the lessons from his or her teacher.  This will alleviate four make-up days and keep graduation as scheduled at this point in time.  Thank you all for your support and patience during this record breaking winter.  The safety of our students is always our top priority.  Thank You, Kim Schubert, Superintendent

BHS & BMS Students Released Earlier Starting 10/10 B

On Monday October 10 the middle school and high school dismissal times will be 7 minutes earlier. The start times remain the same for both schools. We have to make this adjustment as train traffic, road closures and increased overall traffic in Bellevue has made dismissal time at the elementary school run late on a consistent basis. We are pleased that we are able to make this time change with very minimal impact on our middle and high school instructional day while making sure that our elementary students are able to dismiss at their regularly scheduled time. If you have questions, please contact your student's school.

Students Participate in FCCLA Leadership Camp FCCLA Leadership Camp
Two of our students recently enjoyed a great experience at FCCLA Leadership Camp.  Kayla Klotz and Kayla McNamara learned how to be a leader, what FCCLA is all about and who is impacted by FCCLA.  Before going to camp, the girls had no experiences with FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America).  The camp taught them that FCCLA is about serving the community and growing as a person.

Honor Flight is currently the event FCCLA is sponsoring.  In just two days they made $601.00 for Honor Flight.  They were happy to make a veteran’s dream become reality because they raised enough money in 2 days to send one veteran to see their memorial.  That was a good example of what FCCLA is all about – helping the community AND growing as a person while doing it.
