Six Pillars of Character
Bellevue Elementary School first-graders meet in the ELA (Extended Learning Area) outside their classrooms every morning to say The Pledge of Allegiance and state the “Six Pillars of Character.” They promise to be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, caring, and good citizens. During the school day, they are reminded of these qualities posted on the walls of the building. Students are praised when they choose to follow school rules which reflect these themes. Remembering these attributes will serve the students well in years to come and in their lives after school.
