Here is some basic information for Mrs. Cole's Algebra class.
scientific calc
We will use OGT and graphing calculators a lot!
Why do you need Algebra 2?
You have successfully completed Algebra 1 & Geometry to get to this spot. Congratulations!

Algebra 2 will use the skills you learned previously and expand on them. For those of you who are going into technical fields, such as computers, science, math or engineering, we will prepare you for PreCalculus and Calculus. For those of you who are going a different direction, you will be ready for the college-entrance and placement tests given at most colleges and the military. These tests determine where you will begin on those paths.
advanced algebra
This is the textbook we will be using.
How is my grade calculated?
Your grade is weighted as follows:

1. Assignments- 30%
2. Projects- 10%
3. Quizzes- 30%
4. Tests- 30%

It is important that you complete each assignment. It will help you understand the next lesson better, and do better on the tests and quizzes.
