Welcome to Ellis Elementary School website! I am so glad you stopped in for a visit! Welcome to Ellis Elementary, home of the approximately 140 kindergarteners enrolled in the Bellevue City School District. Redmen kindergarteners enjoy a rich curriculum 5 days a week and for a full school day. Our young learners have highly qualified educators and a team of well trained support personnel ready to meet their needs.
Ellis is a kindergarten only building and we are VERY committed to making it a memorable and enriching school year. The graduating class of 2023 is currently knee deep in learning to read popcorn words and using manipulatives to represent number stories. Kindergarteners have one special class every day, Art, Library, Music, or Physical Education.
The Bellevue Community strongly supports its school system and we are on track to open a brand new preK-5 building in August of 2012. Our current kindergarteners will enter the building as 2nd graders. Our new facility will be state-of-the-art in every way!
We hope you will consider the Bellevue City School District as you make educational decisions for your children. Kindergarten screening will be held during the first days of March at the Bellevue Public Library. You may call (419) 484-5000 with any enrollment questions.
