What words should your child know by the end of the year? Daily reading log. All Kindergarten children are expected to learn a list of words we call "High Frequency" Words. These are words that your child will encounter daily as they read books and write in their journals. We will be adding these words to our "Word Rings" as we learn them in class. You can help your child to learn these words by practicing with the "Word Rings" at home. This practice should only take a few minutes!!!
