Mr. Wiechman's Page
Welcome to Mr. Wiechman’s Science page. This page contains all the information you need to keep up to date on your students science class. On this page you will find the weekly calendar which will tell you when tests and what chapter and section we are covering each day. This is the same calendar that is in my room that your student hopefully has been copying down. We are already off to a great start and if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

This year your student is in Earth Science. Earth Science is the study of Earth and Space. Earth Science has four branches that we study. Geology (study of Earth and Earth processes like earthquakes, volcanoes, ect) Astronomy (study of space and objects in space), Oceanography (study of Earth’s oceans) and Meteorology (study of Earth’s atmosphere and weather). We will also touch on some chemistry and physics. Your child should feel challenged in this class. Regular studying will ensure your child’s success this year. Make sure your student is reviewing their vocab cards nightly and their notes at least twice a week. If your student starts to have trouble please have them come to me for help. The user name for the Glencoe site is EARTH05 and the password is P5atEmaq

Here you will find links to our extra credit assignments, rule sheets, research paper guidelines, classroom notes and other helpful pages.
