The program encourages a student’s social, emotional, and personal growth as they continue their development through the middle school years.Available Counseling ServicesAt the Middle School we provide individual and small group guidance and counseling for students. What are the benefits of school counseling for parents? As middle school counselors, we work closely with parents to help students be successful in the classroom. As professional school advocates, we can help you understand your child's academic progress, and the educational options and services available to your student. We can work with you to develop realistic behavioral and academic goals for your child along with the strategies and ideas that can improve your child's attitude, behavior, and overall academic success. As school counselors, we serve as a source of referral information to community programs and services that may be of benefit to your child and family. How does a school counselor work with other educators in the school setting? As a member of the Middle School team, we assist classroom teachers by conducting student observations, reviewing student records, supporting students as they work to change troublesome behaviors, and when appropriate, referring families to outside community agencies.
