OSFC Project: New Elementary &; New Middle School
The Bellevue City School District will be entering a new chapter in our history with the construction of two new facilities.  Bellevue voters and the State of Ohio have approved the construction of a unified Elementary school to replace our 3 existing ones, and a new Middle school.  The project is slated for completion in the 2012-2013 school year.

 Progress Report

The Bellevue Middle School OSFC project bids were opened with great anticipation on February 23.  The bids have now been officially accepted by the Bellevue Board of Education and we are pleased to announce that the bids came in 6.8% below the base bid estimate.  The bid savings allowed for the acceptance of project alternates such as upgraded flooring, landscaping and site furnishings.  All of these alternates will help add to the quality of the new school.

The Bellevue Board of Education is extremely happy to see the inclusion of local companies participating in the building of our new middle school.  There are companies from Erie, Sandusky and Seneca counties working on this project.  The following companies were awarded bids for the project:

ACI Construction:  Elementary Early Site Work

Telamon Construction:  General Trades Middle School

Vulcan Enterprise:  Fire Protection

Oakland Plumbing:  Plumbing

Warner Mechanical Corp: HVAC

Hytech Electric:  Electrical

Area companies working as subcontractors include, but are not limited to, Thomas Steele, Capitol Aluminum &; Glass, J&;H Concrete and Tibboles Well Drilling, all companies located in Bellevue.

“Our goal of providing new schools for our students and providing a boost to our local economy are both coming to fruition which is very gratifying.”  Kim Schubert
