Ms. Kinderman's Experience
Hello, everyone. I am currently teaching Kindergarten at York. I am a graduate of Bellevue Senior High School and Bowling Green State University. In the past I taught at Monroeville Local Schools and Rocky River City Schools. I have been at Ellis, Shumaker and York in the Bellevue School System. My experience has been teaching PreSchool, Kindergarten, First grade and Learning Disabilities K-6.
Ms. Kinderman's Kindergarten
Students enter Kindergarten with a wide variety of social and academic experience. Positive social skills are a high priority for us. Learning to follow a routine and a set of rules is also very important. We pledge daily to be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, caring, and good citizens.
We learn to recognize all upper and lower case letters and the sound for each. We learn how to write all letters and by the end of the year words and sentences. We learn how to write numbers through 20 correctly. Counting to 100 and beginning addition and subtraction are also areas of concentration.
Every nine weeks students are assessed over these and many other skills. The list of all skills can be found on the Kindergarten grade card so parents can see what specific skills are expected to be mastered each grading period.
