Job Training Available through FirstEnergy
FirstEnergy Offers Utility Training at Community Colleges FirstEnergy Corp. announced recently that its subsidiaries, Ohio Edison and Toledo Edison, will be partnering with Owens Community College to reinstate its utility line and substation worker training program. Owens Community College will be providing technical coursework for the two-year Power Systems Institute (PSI), while hands-on utility skills will be provided at Edison training facilities. Be a Bellevue Hospital VolunTeen - The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) is looking for teenagers interested in becoming VolunTeens at the local facility. The program is for students 14-18 years old. Reach Our Youth (ROY) is a big brother/big sister type program in Huron County. ROY is in need of teen volunteers ages 16 and older to work with young boys and girls (ages 6-12) in need of a mentor.
